Please note that this year (2009) we are playing a first-match-loss consolation bracket (FMLC) for brackets with more than 4 entries (smaller brackets will play a round robin). For those new to tennis, FMLC means if you lose your first match, you go to the consolation bracket and play until you lose. If you don't lose your first match, you stay in the main bracket until you lose.

There will be two events, regular doubles and mixed doubles, with several divisions in each event. Women's doubles will have the following divisions: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5. Men's doubles will have these divisions: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5. Mixed doubles will have 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0 divisions (only one level between each player on a team; for example, a 6.0 team can be made up of a 3.0 with a 3.0 or a 2.5 with a 3.5, but not a 2.0 with a 4.0). If a division doesn't make, we will ask if you want to move to the next higher division.

Matches will be played at Pitts and at Starkville High School courts. (A big thanks to the MSU coaching staff for their continued support of Starkville Tennis Association in allowing us to use the MSU courts.) There may be a few early matches at SHS. The matches at Pitts will start at 5:30 (check-in at 5:00). If you play at 7:00, check in by 6:30. A release form must be signed by each player. First match times will be posted on the website. Courts will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. When all four players have checked in, you will be put in the queue for a court. We will play a 10 pt tie breaker in lieu of a 3rd set.
